Frequently Asked Questions
Labels are shown in Japanese, even when the language is set to non-Japanese.
If your iPhone or iPod touch gives more priority to Japanese than English, iStellar will display everything in Japanese. This could happen if you're using a third language, e.g. French.
To avoid this issue, go to your iPhone / iPod touch's Settings > General > International > Language, and select English. After that, go back and set it again to your main language.
Cannot update / install iStellar. An alert shows that the device is not compatible.
You may be alerted that the application is "not compatible with the current iPhone/iPod touch". If you already had an older version of iStellar installed, the icon might disappear from your home screen.
In this case, please go through the following procedure in your iTunes:
- Connect your iPhone/iPod Touch with your PC and sync with iTunes. You should see the "not compatible" alert.
- Click the [Applications] Tab of your Device and make sure that "iStellar" is listed in the purchased Apps on the left side.
- Select "Sync Applications" and select "iStellar".
- Un-select every App except iStellar.
- Click "apply" and click "Sync".
- iStellar will be solely synced with your iPhone/iPod Touch. See if the sync succeeds.
We've submitted a new version to fix this issue.
* iStellar moves on iPod touch and every type of iPhone.
iStellar crashes right after launch.
This happens when memory is insufficient to launch iStellar.
Memory shortage usually happens when other apps (mainly Safari) are not completely closed and remaining in memory.
In this case, please try closing Safari completely by the following way:
- Launch Safari
- Tap the "Page" button on the lower right and open a new page.
- Tap the "Page" button again, close every page except the new blank page.
- Close Safari.
If this doesn't work, restart iPhone by the following way:
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a while
- When you see the confirmation message, drag the red slider and turn iPhone off.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
